Just noticed that we do have a "Suggestions" thread and maybe I should have posted my idea there.
Can it be moved, mods?

Just a thought, how about a monthly (or quarterly) DYR Caption Contest?
Perhaps the mods can find a suitably retro photo and forumists submit their witty ideas, with the winner decided by votes and the prize is the right to submit the next photo?
